This beautiful little specimen is from Russia. Azurite is one of my personal favorite minerals, so when I saw this adorable guy I felt it needed to come to the shop! 

The druse of flattened Azurite crystals that form rosette-like aggregates, with good luster and a vivid color. A wonderful collectors piece for sure and at a really great price.

Used in Ancient Egypt as a pigment for cosmetics and art but also to honor goddess Isis. The ancient greeks associated it with goddess Athena.
